Impulse buy Savage Mark II with Bull barrel

My son bought the same one as the OP (Mark II Synthetic with heavy barrel) put an inexpensive Bushnell on it and sighted it in himself. Then he said "here, you try it". This is my first attempt:

Yahoo that's nice..congrats

It will be an ''average Joe'' test. Meaning, I'm using a bipod, not bench or sandbag. Still shopping for decent optic but not crazy expensive one. As far as ammo goes, I'm testing what is commercially available to the average plinker (no crazy match ammo, I'll be using it for ''accurate plinking'' and critters hunting) so far I have :

-CCI minimag
-CCI Stinger
-Remington Yellow Jacket
-Remington Golden Bullets
-American Eagle 38gr HP et 40gr round
-Federal Bulk
-Winchester Dynapoint
-Winchester Powerpoint

Finally found time to try it out. My "average Joe" review is coming :p

The rifle can accuratly shoot almist anything but doesn't like federal bulk pack... More to come tomorrow with pictures and everything.

Disclaimer : dońt expect benchrest result because this is not what I did. I shot from my pick up truck box in the prone position with a bipod. Found what ammo it likes so i'll hit the range once I find more ammo.

Anyone know where I can buy a bottom plate for my Trr! the 1/8" thick ones.

My action is the E type ( 7 3/4" ) non magnum.

Cheers.

Bought a Savage Mark II BV along with a cheap Simmons 3-9 scope. Haven't shot it yet but will next week. I also have a Savage 93R17 GLV that shoots great. Does anyone know where I can get metal trigger guards for both guns (I think it's the same guard)? I like the guns and they're good value. I just wish they didn't put such a cheap cheesy trigger guard on them.
