On a whim I just bought this on the EE. I guess I just joined the CZ club. I don't know a lot about these but I gather they are a retro copy of the original pre B "75".....issued in 2011 for CZ's 75th anniversary. Anybody know much about them? I gather there were 75 sold on each continent or something like that. The buffalo hide case is kind of neat if nothing else.

Have been looking for an original like that! Can't afford an Anniversary. Nice gun! Enjoy.

It's funny, I was complaining in another thread that there wasn't very much of interest on the EE and then this popped up today along with a couple of nice looking T series BHP's. Too many guns not enough money!

:agree: he needs to get a CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow. :)

I was actually looking pretty seriously at a T series Browning on the EE when this popped up. As this was about 2/3 the asking price and I'd never seen one before I decided to jump. I'll still need to scratch the BHP itch a little more at some point (I only have the one and it's chambered in 40 rather than 9).

Here is an older thread where I posted some info. I used to own #75 of 75 but it is now part of my friends collection. Beautiful pistols.

Thanks for the link...interesting. I was unclear on whether it was a faithful reproduction of a CZ75 or was a 75B internally and just made to look like a 75. So, you are saying it's actually the latter? Do you know if regular CZ75B mags will work? There seems to be some question about that on the net.

Its essentially a CZ-75B internally that looks like the original 70's model with short rail and spur hammer. Just like modern "B" models the pistol does have an internal firing pin block, you can see the pin in the slide or if you field strip the gun you will see it internally. It should take any modern mags that were designed for CZ-75 platform.

I see, thank you for the information. Do you have any idea if regular full size CZ 75B grips will fit? I think it would look nice with some cocobolo or rosewood checkered grips as a contrast to the black finish. Most of what I'm finding is for the B's and several note that they will not fit pre B's. I guess it's a question of whether it's just the hammer and short rail that is made to look like the original or is the frame/grip different?
