Sorry about that...I actually shot the Luger last night fore the first time. Tiny sights and a pretty heavy trigger but it performed flawlessly. It was quite impressive for having just turned 100!
I knowthey have a reputation for jamming but i fired 40 rounds without an issue. I was using S&B 124gr. I have read that they prefer the 124 and that European ammo works better because it is loaded a little hotter but I'm not sure.
Biggest problem is that the front sight tapers to such a fine point my 50+ year old eyes have trouble seeing where the top is.

No problem....anytime....guns are meant to be shot.
So, if I'm to be completely truthful this is at least part of the reason I jumped on this gun.......one of my favourite movies!
Zulu! Awesome movie. I think it was Michael Caine's first flick. Loved that character Hook and the Zulu salut at the end. Must of watched that movie 10 times with my father.
Actually i shouldn't be so disrespectful saying "that character Hook". He was Alfred Hook and he was awarded a Victoria Cross, as were many others at Rorke's Drift

Yep, I still drag the DVD out every year or so (along with things like "A Bridge Too Far" and "The Longest Day")
Michael Caine was also in A Bridge Too Far as LT Col Joe Vandeleur (along with just about every other actor of any significance in that era)
