Imr 4227

My dad gave me a pound of IMR4227. What are people loading with it. I suspect I will be using it for lead casts of 303 and 308, but I am not sure.

Be aware that the old IMR 4227 (Made in Canada)
is different from the new IMR 4227 not made in Canada------> and data should be looked at carefully

Can be used in rifle and pistol for many calibers

i bought it for 357 mag and it works decent enough, but then i tried it for my 500 mag and i love it! those are the only 2 i've tried it in.

Works well in 460 S&W as well, kind of stinks though and no ball of fire like when you use H110.

I fill up all the extra space in the cases with a couple sheets of TP

Thats what I use it for.

X2 Large bore handguns seems to be it's ideal niche, but not limitation.

EDIT: Large bore handgun calibers...

I use it for 22 Hornet, my favorite powder for this caliber.
This, I think, is what it's ideal for.
