I am trying to find some IMR 5744 powder. Is the stuff still made? Higginson's does not appear to list it, and a Google search did not turn up much useful info..........

5744 is made by Accurate powder corp, I don't believe IMR ever made it.

XMP-5744 is available;

Rustywood has it listed as Accurate 5744.

It's made in Quebec at the old IMR plant. IIRC, there was an IMR5744 powder which was used by the US military for some esoteric loading. I'll check my old ammunition handbook.

This is all well and good, but I really don't give a rat's behind any more, since I have long ago forgotten why I wanted that powder. I don't care if it is still made, or not................no offence to those of you who are trying to help!
