Anyone use this particular powder in a 300 win mag....I have some 180gr Nosler Partitions and CT's and bunch of this powder on hand...also have H4831sc as well, not very much though....was just curious as to what you 300 mag shooters thought..the rifle is a Tikka T3 with a 1 in 11 twist I believe..it seems to be the recommended powder in that little IMR powder manual that I got sent to me...thanks

Should be a good choice, especially with heavier bullets. My all-time favourite was H870, which was discontinued years ago. I'm looking forward to trying US 869 as a replacement

my favorite load was 72 to 74 grns of imr 4350 fed 215 primers and 180 nozler partition. load worked well with almost any 180 grn bullet.

It should work well in this calibre although I haven't tried it in any of mine. I have used it in my .300 Wby Mag and my .264 Win Mag with great results.

7828 is a good choice in many large capacity small bore cartridges

25-06, 6.5x55, 270, 7mm Mag, 300 Mags etc

give it a try!

73.5gr/180grNosler AB in a 300WM T3 hunter.
