IMR 7828 ssc

When looking at a 6,5 x 55, I started a list with various loads from CGN'ers. There was not one for 7828. Nothing in Sierra. Hornady lists 39.6 - 43.3 with their 160 grain RN.

Apologies for the hijack ...
I've got an unadventurous spectrum of H4895 loads to test in my PH commercial mauser this weekend and I (and possibly the OP) would be interested in hearing what the favourite flavours of powder are for the Swede from your list.

Always looking for alternatives...Cheers

p.s. ht tp://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp has some IMR 7828 ssc loads(not sure if PZKW was looking for recipes or feedback on performance)

I shoot a M98-based target rifle in 6.5X55. I found IMR7828SSC to produce a very accurate load with the 140 gr AMAX at the highest MV I have observed in that gun. I used a full case (51.0 grs) at an OAL of 3.200". I have to say that 46.0 grs of H4350 edges it out for accuracy, but was almost 200 fps slower. The difference was slight, but accuracy beats speed.

my first test with 7828ssc and 100g Nosler b-tip are realy promising (coyote/wolf load).

I found two potentialy faster powders and it's Vit n-560 and Norma MRP.

I got some test to do with R-22 too wich should be very similar too 7828.

as well as testing the 140 VLD Berger

and I don't feel my post is hijacked, as long as it's about 6.5x55 all coment are welcome
