IMR 800X for .38 or .357mag?

I'm using pound of 800X to load 9mm (5gr behind 124gr plated) and it's been a nice mild and accurate load. The bullets are HP and shaped a lot like .38/357 bullets (truncated cone + the hollow point), so since I'm out of genuine .38 caliber bullets I'm planning on using them to load .357 and .38spl.

I'd like to use the powder, so was planning on also using it for the .357 but cant mind any load data for either .38 or .357 using IMR 800x. I was thinking should be able to use the same load for .38 (in a .357mag gun) that I use for 9mm (5gr). or would I need more because of the extra case space?

Anyone using 800x for .38spl/.357mag? what load are you using?

You should be able to easily use 8 or 9 grains of 800X in your 357 Mag with that 124 grain pill.
I have been using 8 grains of WW473AA behind a 125 grain jacketed bullet in my 357 with great success, and 473 is quite a bit faster burning than is 800X

EDIT: I found a recommended max load online, and it sounds reasonable to me.
One caution given: The large flakes of 800X make it a bit of a nasty meterer, so be careful if using a powder measure to throw charges.
