Has anyone used these powders? I’m specifically curious about imr 8133, or imr8208xbr. They both claim to give great velocity. I am also unable to find any of this powder for sale in Canada. Does anyone know where to get a pound or 2 to try?

8208 is a great powder. Had awesome results with it in a semi auto 308. I've never tried 8133 as it's impossible to find like most powders. I've played with 7977 and 4451 as well extensively and wouldn't hesitate to run either. As far as finding any, good luck. If you do find some, don't buy 1 or 2. Buy 8

Yup, it's made in Canada but most of the runs are shipped to the US, which make up 95% of their orders.

Canadian orders, tend to be small and we get what's left, unless a chain store, such as Cabela's puts in a sigificant order early.

I have and use IMR 4451, 4955, 7977, 8133. I like these powders. Clean and consistent.
I am using the IMR 8133 in my 257 Weatherby, chasing the 120 Partition at 3400+
Shot a Whitetail last fall at about 350 yards, and I was pleased with the results.
[the deer was not, lol] Dave.

I've used all the Enduron powders (4166, 4451, 4955, 7977, 8133) - IMR 8208xbr is a great powder too, but not part of the newer Enduron line

4166 is very similar to Varget, 4064, or RL15. Works great in 223 and 308

4451 a bit quicker burning than H4350. A great powder in the 243, 7mm-08, 30-06

4955 similar to RL19 or IMR 4831. It's one to try in 25-06, 6.5x55, 270 Win, 280, 300wm

7977 is in the H1000/7828 burn rate ballpark. It doesn't give as high of speed as others in this burn range. Very accurate in 6.5 PRC, 7mm Mag, 300 Wby

8133 is like Retumbo or N568. I used it in 28 Nosler and accuracy was fantastic. Other good applications would be 257 Wby, 26 Nosler, 270 Wby, 7mm STW, 300 RUM

IMR 4451 is also fantastic in the 270 Win. It gave better accuracy and higher speed with 130 bullets in my rifle than H4831sc, H4350 and IMR4350.

I was able to track down 2 pounds of imr8133 yesterday. The ultimate reloader on youtube was praising it for 7mm rem mag and the high velocities it produces. Im thinking about using some 140-160 grain bullets for it. From what i understand this powder is bulky and compressed loads are common. I suppose that would lead to better ignition anyways?

In 7 mm Rem Mag, It will likely work best with the heavier bullets, like 160 and 175 gr.
My hunch is that it may be on the slow side for the application.

I tested out my imr8133 today with berger 150 classic hunters. 24” barrel remington 700bdl. At 74.0 gr charge i was getting 3215 fps average. A hell of a lot of velocity just like i thought.
