IMR SR 4759, Still being produced?

Hi everyone,

I was under the impression that IMR SR 4759 had been discontinued. I managed to pick up a few pounds recently and still see it coming in with the new powder shipments.

So, is this the last of it or was the discontinuation just a rumor? Can any one confirm?

All the SR powders were announced to be discontinued sometime in early 2015 but they still show up on the IMR website. I haven't seen any in many months. If the supplier the store you go to uses still has some available it is possible they can still order it until the warehouse is empty. I've talked to people who work at a big wholesaler/importer and they said all the SR powders are definitely discontinued. That's just their word and what they know through work.

SR-4759 was discontinued in the 1980's from my understanding but was brought back after a couple/few years due to customer demand.

I know some 45-70 shooters who would buy any 4759 they could find...I'm the same way for some 7625, both on the discontinued list.

Tell them I've got a few mini barrels of the stuff. Comely lasses with great attributes and questionable morals would be great trade bait.
