Hello! So I got a text from a friend of mine who is travelling through the States and was talking to a supplier down there and was informed that IMR4007SSC was not longer in production. He text me asap since its what my 7mm-08 loves with 160 and 150gr bullets, telling me the info.. I then took a quick look on IMR webpage and could not see it listed anywhere. Anyone else aware of this?

Just in case I did call my Go to powder supplier and he did tell me that IMR(Hodgdon) was cancelling out some of there line but was unsure which ones they might be... I got 3 more 1 pounders of 4007SSC just in case..

Hope this is not true info but if it is, just thought i would get all you fellow gunnutters a heads up!

Cheers and have a great day!

Chris Hodgdon announced at Shot Show earlier this year that they are discontinuing several powders. I don't remember if IMR4007 is on it since I don't use it but I do know that SR-4756, PB, and my favorite for cast bullets, SR-4759, are being discontinued sometime this year.

*edit*
Found this list on another forum:
4756, 4759, PB and 7625

Another forum mentioned 4227 but I only found it once.

Some retailers might be doing their usual "we don't have any information so we'll make up a story to look knowledgeable" and just added 4007 to the list because they hadn't gotten any in a while. Kind of like how some stores where telling customers the Alliant powder factory burned down and there is no more Alliant powder, ever. There was a small fire at one of the (three?) plants that make Alliant powder but it was over a year ago. Some wholesalers/importers have mentioned that they are just now getting bits and pieces of orders they placed in late 2012. That should tell you a lot about the current situation.

Lol. yeah i herd a lot of different things from A-Z for the reasons why were haveing issues with finding supplies. My biggest problem is finding the projectiles but Apprechate your input though Lutnit. Kinda sucks about powders for cast bullets. Sorry to hear.
If anyone is needing powder i called hummasons in Ancaster today and they seem to have stuff in stock anyways... I got 3 pounds of 4007SSC, and 1 Pound H380... and there was lots left of both... gotta love the price to! :D
