IMR4064 and 178 gr8 A-MAX

Hi did anybody use this combination IMR 4064 and 178gr.A-MAX projectiles in a 300win Mag ???
Looking for formula or close load for the combination please let me know .

Odd that there's no 4064 .300 Mag data on Hodgdon's site.
There's some 180 grain data on Reloader's Nest. The 2 grains won't matter. My old Lyman book gives 56.0(2590fps) to 62.5(2840fps) of IMR4064 for a jacketed 180. 175 grain data will do as well. 3 grains won't matter either.
Know a guy who regularly won 1,000 yard DCRA matches with a 17.5 pound .300 Mag. He used 190 grain match bullets.
No hunting anything but varmints with an A-Max. They're not made for hunting.

The bullet is a bit heavy for 4064. It would make a good mid-power plinker in the 30-06 range.

For power, you want a slower powder, like 4350, 760 or 4831.

Thanks guys .I use 4064 for my 308 178 BTHP 37.6 Dr and love it .and here where I live in Alberta nobody has H100V,RL22,win sup780 or 4000MR so I was looking for load my 300win mag with IMR 4064 .and 178 gr8.to see how it works hehe Thanks for all info

4064 will work. Probably quite accurate, too. Just saying it isn't optimal for power. But ya can't shoot what you can't buy.
