Are these powders virtually the same except that one is 'Extreme'? They are right after each other on the burn rate chart so I'm assuming they are. I'm about to start load development with 100gr Nosler BT for my 257AI and the IMR4350 powder comes up a few times in the recipes I've seen and I have some H4350 sitting here doing nothing.

They are close, but not the same. so use caution when switching.
Usually, H4350 displays slightly slower burning characteristics than IMR.
But that is not etched in stone.
Always back down 6-10% and work back up.

They are close but not exactly the same. I just looked on the Hodgdon site for loads in 30-06 and the H4350 was consistantly a heavier charge for similar results. Approach with caution and you should be ok. Another option is contact Hodgdon and ask them.
If I remember correctly I used 52grs of imr4350 and 50grs of h4350. Almost same velocity but the h4350 was max and at slightly higher book pressure then the max of imr and 52grs of that was almost max. This is for a 2506 for what its worth. I prefer imr4831 over both
Umm, KDX, what part of "..reduce starting loads by ten percent and increase in increments, stopping if either signs of excess pressure, or maximum recommended loads are reached.... do you not understand?
