I've got a nice load developed using 43grs of IMR4350 pushing a 140gr SPBT in my Steyr 6.5x55, but I just started trying out RE22 and it's showing a lot of promise with 45.5 - 47.5grs.

I don't have a chrony so I don't know what sort of velocities I'm getting and have been relying on Quickload just to give me an idea.

Which powder would you stick with and why?

The one that gives you the best group would be my choice, or if they group the same then for me it would be a matter of how many loads/lb.

Go with the IMR 4350

It is easier to buy in most places without the shortages common with the Alliant powders.

It is no where near as temperature sensitive as RL22 is.

Lot to lot consistency is great with the IMR powders. With Reloder 22 each batch can be like a whole new powder and all your loads will have to be worked up again once you run out of your original can of powder.

Finally, the IMR powders are made here in Canada and supporting Canadian workers is always a good thing. :D
