I can't get imr 4350 to group in the model 700 270
My local store has some 7828 which is noted in my Lyman book to be a useable powder
When I read up on imr's site they say it is more of a large cal magnum powder and is the slowest burning powder
Is it worth trying?

I found 54.3 grs of IMR-4350 gives me the best groups with 130 SST's but my 700 likes 150 gr bullets better....maybe give 150's a try with the IMR4350. H4831SC (if you can find it) seems to work pretty good in the 270 win.

Thanks guys I will give it a try. They note it in the Lyman book from 130-160 grain bullets.
If not all my buddy's 7mags so and we can use it up that way

in my rem700 ive had good results for accuracy with "varget" an 130gr sp, yes its slightly fast, but it works good. velocity is a tad slower.

someone said, you'd be pretty hard up to find a load that didn't work.

cheers

I hav ehad good luck with 7828 with heavy for caliber weight bullets when I get them loaded close or at maximum. Start at 3 grains under and work up.
