To avoid disgarding my Butler Creeks magazines I have decided to pin them to be in 10 cartridge compliance.

Well I see that you made two mistakes.

1. Pinning the mag.
2. Telling us about it.

The law has not changed. Someones interpretation of a law has and that's all. If high capacity 10/22 magazines were truly prohibited, then please explain to me why you can STILL buy these (unpinned) at Canadian Tire. Aren't you a good little sheep...

well said..... but when you are a liberal, no logic needed.

Sail has pulled them from their shelves.

Seriously sail is one of the biggest anti gun store. they are pro firearm registry. they kicked "tous contre un registre Ωuebecois" out of the store and their parking at Laval sail, and called the police.

ftfy.

That being said, my CT had two left in stock before this mess, and now, they don't seem to have any. So either they sold them, or they removed it from the shelves.

edit: ... and the 25 rounders no longer show up on the website.

These have warranty?? Mike from Canmore says these jam often, compared to the 10 rounders. Personally, I think it's all loading error - letting the rim of the upper round sneak over the lower round, but doesn't seem to happen with the 10rds.

the OEM 10 rounders are much more reliable compared to the 25 BC's. The magazines on the right is/was a 30 rounder from Ramline that worked well.

But my range won't let me use them

But my range won't let me use them

At the range I went to yesterday I overheard the owner say to someone "I don't care if anyone uses them, the law hasn't changed and we haven't been given any notice"

What the RCMP wants are people to get scared and "comply". Don't do a thing to your mags! (too late for the OP...)

You Sir, are wrong.
this is one step behind destroying your guns because that is what the government wants.

but seriously, the law has not changed.
put them away to avoid issues, and join the fight for your rights....
you have surrendered, and disappointed the other members of your community.

My solution was to change the forestock on my 10/22 from the "chicago conversion' to the 'squad leader'; then added the extensions to my factory 10 shot mags. Still kept all the cool factor, in spite of the Horseyboys s__t. Put everything else away until after the court ruling. :nest: Mags?........ What mags?........ We ain't got no prohib mags. I gave all mine to Mikey.

OP thanks for sharing, I get why people are upset over the changes in the RCMP's interpretation of the law but attacking the OP for sharing is uncalled for. I don't own these mags but if I did, I wouldn't use them because my risk tolerance simply doesn't allow me to fund a legal defense against this if I'm charged, certainly if there already exists a difference of opinion on what's legal or not. I get it, we need to stand up for our rights, but would I go out onto crown land and risk being charged by a CO for having prohibited mags and go through that legal defense process? No thanks, I'll let someone else with deeper pockets take that fight. Of course you could buy that firearms legal insurance... Not sure how the insurance works of you actually did something illegal though
