In Compliance

Depends on the range, if it is private property they can set up any rules they want, within the law.The fact Someone doesn't like it is irrelevant.
I registered my guns not because I agreed with it,but because it was the law at the time and I was going hunting and didn't want my hunt to be short circuited by being stopped by the RCMP

Nice job pinning those.

I understand the desire to remain in compliance, some of us have too much to lose.

I bought a 10rd'r for now. Will wait to see what happens with the "high cap" crisis before I do this.

I'm leaning the other way.

Since the end goal is to stick all gun owners (along with any "free thinkers") in jail anyway, might as well pull the rivets from all the mags and have fun while it lasts...

Question: What classification is the Ruger BX-25 magazines and is it any different then the BC or any other HC Ruger 10/22 magazines now?

All this crazy talk about magazine capacity makes me want to buy something belt-fed while I still can!
(Then I could get the local mat-tech to make me all the belts I need)

It's not an unreasonable decision. You can continue to use your magazines, the alteration looks to be easily reversible if the courts rule favourably and you have no concerns about being brought up on charges.

30 days amnesty is it passed ????? How many owners are in jail ???

My question is how many members regularly travel to the US for work or overseas? Anytime an individual has any mark against their record you are red flagged and it becomes increasingly difficult to cross any boarder. Is it worth that risk?

I don' t know either. I hope you don' t take any risk with that. maybe 5 round will be better accordingly of the liberals.

It's a very good question. Conviction isn't required either. Even a charge can make your life complicated and disqualify you for trusted traveler programs like Nexus and Global Entry. If you travel often on business either to or via the USA these programs are invaluable.

If you're worried about a charge that could affect your travel, that's fair, why not just put the mags away in storage and use 10 rounders until the legal of the situation is clearly defined by those who have the actual authority? (That's right RCMP, you have NO authority to change the law)

There was an account of a guy who was stopped by the RCMP for not having his REG cards on him when he was traveling north on a moose hunt several years ago-the rifles were held while he traveled back home, got his REG cards and the hunting rifles were given back,no charges were laidand he proceeded with his hunting trip- BUT the best time tried to cross the border he was not allowed in...for 'gun related issues '....remember ,nobody has a RIGHT to cross the border,it is totally at the DISCRETION of the border guards..

Even if you're right - Is if worth it?

No offence... but it sure seems like one of the Internet/Gun Store/Camp fire story
- Or the guy had some other unresolved issues...

Yes, border crossing is a privilege.
No, border guards will not refuse people just for the fun of it.
