In Compliance

Depends on what info pops up on the screen. If they found a poorly-written note left there by the RCMP that says "stopped for having firearms without registrations", and that note wasn't removed after the incident was over, that could be a flag for their border guards.

On the brightside this thread is a great example of what not to do

I hope you don't push rounds into that mag too hard cause I can't see a pop rivet and a plastic mag getting along.

Guys don't look at what people do, but why

This is post is virtue signalling at its finest

It's how they show other people that it is they that are the good person etc.

It's most commonly stemming from low self worth/low self esteem and a lack of true understanding of some of the more complex aspects of human interactions.

The example here is how easy it is to see that this post will be unpopular with..........most of our community.

Why post it.

Well it's the person's desire to show everyone how good a person they are. The analysis stops there and the person is only able to consider their internal motivations exclusive of the fabric of society i.e the firearms community.

So if you want to boost their self esteem, provide encouragement

Otherwise telling people like this about why it's a problem will be futile. They will still be left with their personal issues at the end of the day

Virtue signalling at its finest?....not exactly, the point being made that no matter what anybody thinks is right or wrong, what should or shouldn't be,ANY infraction, real or imagined, justified or not,can land you on the ' Red Flag'list at the border crossing....and whether I agree with it or not is IRRELEVANT when you are turned back at the border, and no,writing to your MP won't help you..even if you are going on vacation with a plane ticket in your pocket that you can't use now and maybe can't even get a refund...think about it( same goes for buying a scope and trying to bring it back undeclared ,the money you SAVED just might be the most EXPENSIVE dollar you spent )

No I contributed an educated opinion based on the relevant thread topic.

I wonder what motivates you to post this comment ?

I'm only asking because it's not funny and I'm not sure what the point is except to talk down to me?

Look up virtue signalling on Google and tell me that not happening, otherwise maybe try adding value to the forum with your opinion instead of adding these trolling comments.

My question is how many members regularly travel to the US for work or overseas? Anytime an individual has any mark against their record you are red flagged and it becomes increasingly difficult to cross any boarder. Is it worth that risk?

I do...so my simple solution has been to just not use them until the situation is cleared up.

Do what you want with your property but seems like you went really far out of your way to not only take action beyond what is required but to then also poke everyone else and say "look at me!"...Safety First might be onto something with his theory.

My bad. Doesn't appear as if you did. Don't think you get out very much.
