It is fitting that this evening with Saskatchewan in the Grey Cup Game, I must share the sad news of the death of a fellow CGN'er, a sharp minded collector of Lee Enfield conversions and Palma Team rifles, and longtime member the Saskatchewan Provincial Rifle Association.
Wayne's widow Mary Ann shared with me that Wayne passed away on Sept 23, 2009 from Glioblastoma Multiforme, a primary Brain Cancer. He was diagnosed 2 1/2 years ago. Things weren't too bad, but May 2009 saw a drastic decrease in his health.
Donations or expressions of support may be sent to the Grace Hospice where Wayne spent his last days, and she assures me they took awesome care of him.
