what's the story on Tapco? i know they went bankrupt and out of business, but does anyone know the details of how it happened?

(and wouldn't it be sweet if someone bought up the injection mold tooling for their products and resumed manufacturing, ...especially their mags.)

I never heard any reason for it, it sure was strange though especially considering how well known they are. Are you looking to buy a few? I hope it’s not against forum rules to mention it here but I do have some bumming around my house that I can’t use any more

They were part of the Remington family. I believe Sportsman's Outdoors picked up the Tapco line.

Tapco was acquired by Sportsman's Warehouse in the Remington fire sale, and SW has been acquired by Bass Pro-Cabelas.

yes I saw a recent bulletin that said that Tapco products would indeed be returning by way of a new manufacturer that bought some of the lines availlable when the remington group was being shuffled.

Poly wasn't happy at all with version one of C-21.

You can bet that version two will be far worse for us.
