It is frustrating to order an in stock product from a business on sept 29th just to get the shipping notification now that says it hasn’t left Calgary yet. The scope should be coming in today but I doubt the rifle will arrive before the end of the week. I guess I’m just excited to get such a cool new rifle that I’m having a hard time waiting but I’ve never had such a long wait to get what I ordered from a business. That being said I’m happy TI brings in what they do and I’m sure they’re workload skyrockets when they bring in a new firearm and the wait isn’t the normal

I'd shave off a bit of wood on each side of the stock end that fits into the rifle, then epoxied side metal plates with pin holes drilled in appropriate positions, then reinstalled back.. but I passed on SR so I don't have to bother

Looking for some possible guidance here, got my scope and rifle everything looks good but wondering if there is any trick I am missing or something with the illumination of the reticle? Obvious things aside, yes the battery is in correctly, yes the battery is good, yes I do understand this is NOT a daylight bright reticle illumination I am talking even in dark / pitch dark nothing comes up, I even unscrewed the brass thing to confirm a bulb is in there and it is, aside from that I don’t really want to open anything up. This is my first POSP type scope so just want to see if there is anything I’m missing.

Lol! A slight variation of that technique I did take the battery out and put back in, even tried multiple new batteries just to be sure haha.
I was hoping it was something simple / obvious as being as these scopes are 1 per rifle order I don’t know if tactical imports has extras of these or not, worst case just no illumination for me lol first world problems I suppose.
I went to the TMSA range #1 last weekend and here is my quick video firing my SR. The target is at about 40m (forgot to bring my rangefinder). Surplus ammo come with the VZ-58. I got a hundred or so left.
I used two sheets of paper towel to wrap around the scope so that the ejected case will not damage the scope surface.

turn up illumination?
Only on and off no adjustments
Maybe unplug the light bulb and shine a flashlight (using the cell phone) and see if there is light inside the scope?
If you have a multimeter, measure if there is resistance across the bulb and each part? Most likely the bulb went out but with little info can't really tell.
Usually its one of 3 issues, one of which uv essentially already checked:
-Brass bulb has poor contact or is loose
-You have a break in the connection, rather it be a fraction in the wire strands or a poor corroded connection where it enters the bulb area, switch box, battery compartment or where the wires take an aggressive turn. U can test for this by pushing the wires around and watching for illumination.
- Bulb is defective or burnt out.
-Brass bulb has poor contact or is loose
