I would assume so since this is a design flaw. The lifetime warranty TI mentioned makes it sounds like the gen2 stock is not free.
 
Does the warranty replacement of the SR Gen 1 stocks also apply to those purchased through another store or are those not covered by TI?

Gen 2 stocks available free of charge & free shipping to all T81 SR owners, regardless of where it was purchased. When they come in they will be made available for purchase ($0 -free ship) on our website, we'll just require the serial number in checkout comments so that we know which rifle had replacement stock issued

The external design was the same, but a 3rd connection point at back of receiver was added with threaded sleeve for bolt to prevent levering the stock on the two cross pins. They did extensive drop tests, freezing tests and live fire without any problems :)

The production run was all done at once, so all SR's come initially with Gen 1 stock installed, however the remaining two shipments will have gen 2 stock included just in case. Then for everyone who ordered from shipment 1 can get one for free

Wow amazing news.. this is how you generate customer loyalty. Didn't buy my initial Type 81 SR from you guys, but you can bet the next gun I buy I'll be coming to you guys first!
