I purchased (and still have) a non-restricted FN FS2000. The barrel had to be replaced by Ian at Herron Arms here in Ontario. I'm sure he still does it - but there is the additional cost of that. I'm not sure Questar does this anymore. You'll looking at an additional $500 or more I would think (that's what I had to pay a few years back). Worth it though to make it non-restricted.

Depends on the barrel you put in. It will most certainly cost you almost that much ($500) or more for a decent barrel, then add the gunsmithing/shipping on top of that. Think closer to $1000 by the time everything is done and back in your hands (on top of the cost of the rifle).

As well, if you only have a PAL, you wouldn't be able to do it since you have to buy restricted first then change it over to NR.
