If you like the rifle then get one and enjoy it

No, not out of the box. They ship with a bunch of proprietary magazines. An hour with a file and different magazines can be used. Remember it's illegal to modify a magazine to change it's capacity but it's not illegal to modify a firearm to accommodate different magazine designs.

Asking if a firearm has an FRT is irrelevant when the Gov bans them regardless.

The only thing useless is people unaware of facts.

FRT is only useful to see what a foreign made firearm that may soon be imported has been classified as at that particular moment in time. Most of the OIC banned guns had non restricted FRT's until the ban.

Im interested in picking one of these up as i have a ton of AR parts that are collecting dust. I have a few questions, could one say make one of these look like an A1 or A2? Is the barrel/handguard, gas system etc compatible with AR? Or is it something different?

Not really compatible. They are similar to AR DI gas system and the bolt looks AR, I replaced a broken firing pin with a AR pin but the BCG isn't AR nor is the stock. Handguard, probably. But I haven't tried.
