IN-STOCK NOW: Type 81 Picatinny Side Mounts + LMG Compensators + RU MIL PK06 Red Dots

Lol what do you think possibly means lol... like I said if they get a piggyback on a military contract. Don't hold your breath, ti told us two weeks for these breaks and optics six months ago sooo

Agreed, it would useless to speculate if and when they will actually come in. One can hope, though :)

If someone desperately wanted a rifle length Type 81, would it be possible to cut down the length of the LMG barrel and cleaning rod so the barrel's length remains non-restricted but is shortened, threading the barrel appropriately? Or would the expense and risk to the barrel durability be too great? Or could someone get a chrome lined shortened but non-restricted (might as well make it pencil while you're at it) barrel made within Canada to fit the Type 81? If either is possible, one could remove the carrying handle and bipod and swap the stock for a surplus Type 81 fixed rifle stock or Zhukov variable length of pull folder to match the appearance of the rifle version.

I reckon shooting this as a lefty is possible albeit uncomfortable. It says lefty options will be available later this year. How exactly would that work?

If you have a gunsmith chop it its legal if not under 18.6", a bare NR swap is also legal but at the cost just sell you lmg and put that cash you'd spend on these mods onto and buy a used t81 rifke for 2gs?

Also I don't think the rifke stocks fit. I know the folder and fixed are NOT interchangeable as the rivets are in different patterns. Im pretty sure the lmg club foot isn't compatible with either of the rifle stocks either. That's why the lmg optics won't fit the rifles

Thanks for the info. I could be wrong, but I have read the LMG and rifle fixed stock are interchangeable, and the scope mount should work on both rifle variants and the LMG, as the part of the receiver that contains the pins and safety is identical between all 3 variants.

Time will tell. Despite visually appearing the same, ive measured noticeable deviances between reciever dimensions. Different trigger pin hole spacing, and reciever widths. Between that and widely varying trunnion alignments it wouldnt surprise me if some rifle owners encounter fitment issues.
