In the market for a new 17hmr opinions?

Under 500$ i would also go with Zastava but... Make sure you can have a look at the stock first, because the last one i had, had the ugliest piece of lumber i've seen in awhile.

I bought a savage 17hmr when it first came out - very accurate have not shot it in awhile - currently listed on EE. The CZ look nicer would not get the A17 though

For a bolt action hands down the CZ is the way to go , though the prices continue to creep upwards. The A17 is unique in that it's a semi auto, the only one I'm aware of other than the Volquartsen that doesn't have timing concerns. I haven't fired one personally, but if the accuracy is good I could see it being a lot of fun for varmint control with 10 round rotary mags.

Thanks for all the input guys. Ended up with a savage 93r17 with the heavy stainless barrel. Will post a pic once I have a scope mounted on it
