Hello everyone.

Im in the market for a new pistol. Originally i had it narrowed down to a Glock 17 or 19x. Ive been looking at Shadow Systems and Canik recently. The MR20 is not available in Canada yet but the TP9SFX has caught my eye. Already milled for red dot and great reviews. Not a lot of aftermarket support but it looks like it comes loaded.

Glock 17 by far... lots of parts, after market upgrades, fair price, great quality and awesome reliability

I used to be police officer, my side arm was a G17, extremely reliable for service and resisting weather changes

Both are good options, if I was to go for the G17 I would get the MOS version so you can run an optic if you choose just like the Canik. If aftermarket support is a big deal to you then the Glock is a no brainer, however that being said, two months ago I shot an IDPA match and 3 guys in my squad were shooting the TP9SFX and it is a super nice gun with a fantastic trigger, great balance and excellent accuracy! I have had a few opportunities to shoot one now and if I ever stumble across a good deal on one I would not hesitate for a second to grab it. One of my best friends and shooting buddies has been shooting his for a few months now and he is rocking that Canik!
I’m a Glock guy, so if it was me I would grab the G17, but if you went the other way it definitely wouldn’t be a bad thing

If I were to ever add the glock platform it would be the Ss firearm.

I really enjoy my Glock 34 9mm it's the best as far as easily repaired and/or upgraded to what ever your personal taste are.
