This is not a question of what is better but for pure enjoyment, what in your experience have you had more fun shooting and why?

Your answers might save me money or cost me money :D

HMR makes me feel like I can shoot like a sniper!
WMR is a bit louder but just as accurate as a LR.

My Savage 93R17 GLV shoots like a lazer out to 200 yards. Sucky part is that the small super fast rounds go cleanly through clays without breaking them up. Usually takes several hits (or hits to the rim) to break up the clays. Oh well, means I don't have to carry as many clays with me to the range to have as much fun. :)

Accuracy is fun and the 17HMR is very accurate.

I believe that it is easier to find a super accurate 17HMR than it is to find a super accurate 22WMR. That being said, they are out there! I know, because I have one. It will shoot right with my CZ 452 American in 17HMR, and this CZ is deadly accurate. There are very accurate 22 Long Rifle rimfires as well. [Check out my 200 meter groups on this forum] Accurate rifles are definitely interesting, regardless of the chambering. Rimfires are no exception. I like 'em all, as long as they shoot! Regards, Eagleye.
