MOST folk in the general population would take "7 days" as 7 calendar days and posting a BTT on the seventh day will suffice w/o punishment. The trouble here is that there is one mod who takes "7 days" as 168 literal hours and will issue infractions to the same. Thus the confusion.
Hence my comment about those mods who don't have the capacity to apply the rules with a bit of common sense. So you are shy 11 miuntes and 32 seconds of a full 168 hours... BIG FRICKIN DEAL.
The idea of the 7 day limit was to prevent "abuse" from those who would bump their ad every 2 hours to keep themslves at the top of the page.
Being shy 11 minutes and 32 seconds is NOT ABUSE, but some of the "Romper Room Goon Squad" apply the rules to the letter with no
leniency.
Rules are to be used as "guidelines" and most are not cast in stone. Very few are hard set in stone. Mods on my site are encouraged to use "common sense" and very very few infractions are ever issued there. Being too rigid drives people away which is sort of counterproductive of sites such as ours.
Mind you there are many excellent mods on this site, there are a few however that should be replaced... but, I am not the admin here so I either put up with the site as it is or I can stay away.
I recieved a "major infraction" last year for stating that I kept my pistol locked and loaded at home. I was accused of promoting "illegal activity". Well the Quebec CFO, Mr. Yves Massé, who I spoke to face-to-face with a room full of witnesses, could not even determine if this was "illegal". He said he would have to charge me and have a judge decide to set jurisprudence. The CGN mod however seems to know more about the law than the damned CFO! Go figure!!! BTW, the CFO has NOT charged me as yet even though he knows I keep a loaded pistol on me at home. To the CFO it is a non-issue, on CGN it is a MAJOR infraction.
And even though that I am a CGN criminal, I do not give a rat's ass about it. It's silly and childish.
I also got an infraction for BTTing and WTB ad. I BTT'd requesting "PLEASE DELETE" so that people wouldn't click on my ad and waste their time. Got a CGN ticket cause I requested a deletion, I had found what I was looking for. Thought I was being a good CGN citizen, I guessed wrong, I is a criminal. Did I lose sleep over it? No way, I laughed at the infantile reaction by the CGN Gestapo.
And you know what? The sun will still rise tomorrow morning and will set sometime after dinner. I will pick up the dog poop in my yard and life will go on as usual.
