Hey all!

I have had an old but brand new condition Winchester 500 xs air rifle in my possession for years.
I started shooting actual guns and lost interest with it as it is pretty underpowered and innacurate past 20 meters at the 490 fps it shoots at now.

My question is this; I have taken it apart completely, not a very hard task at all.
I have removed the spring and piston and deduced that in the xs series which goes up to 1000 fps, that the only difference in the 4 different rifles of this model is the strength of the spring which pushes the air in the cavity out faster creating more velocity.

Can you order the stronger springs as parts individually? I would like to get an 800 xs spring at least or if possible the 1000 xs spring!
If so does anyone know of a source that sells indivdual springs? Or would my best bet just be go see my machinist friend and get him to track one/build one to specs?

I already have my PAL and now thanks to C-19 wouldn't even have to register the thing :D Mind you I would now have to make room in my gun locker for her lol

Someone steer in the right direction to upgrade my toy into an actual rifle without spending another $250 here.

All information will be appreciated!

Have you contacted Daisy, the manufacturer? say you have a broken 1000x spring and that you'd like to purchase a replacement one.

Is it Daisy that manufactures the xs series?
Would they have the parts or would it be Winchester?
I know nothing of air rifles as you can see lol
Thanks for the reply!

I don't know much about airguns either, but from what I have gathered in my internet search, it is indeed Daisy that manufactures the Winchester xs series.

I doubt winchester would have any parts, they likely only struck a deal with the airgun giant Daisy to have their logo stamped on there.

I'd contact Daisy.

cheers.
