Indoor ranges east of Toronto?

$160? That's a steal.

Softtail,
The point is, for a couple hundred bucks, join a club, any club. Support the sport or get on to something else.
Stop whining about the cost.
Take up golf and see how much that costs. And yes, there will be golf clubs you cannot afford either. To bad, so sad.
Stop whining. (and stop bad mouthing my club)

I didn't bad mouth your club. In fact, I said I'm sure it's a nice club. I just think it's an exspensive club.
As for joining a club, I already belong to one. And I shoot there on a weekly basis. Do I need to belong to the most exspensive club in Ontario in order to support the sport?
Hope I didn't ruin your day there Pete.:D

I have to agree with Pete04 with regards to cost. If all clubs cost the same as Sharon, I know lots and lots of shooters including myself that could not ever afford to support the sport. Nothing against Sharon, it is a wonderful facility, just way to much for me to join. EESA is a great facility as well and for the money is probably one if not the best clubs around.

Hard to ruin my day. I spent it at Sharon shooting. Beautifull! To bad you couldn't be there.

Uh-oh. Looks like I struck a nerve.:D
But seriously, I would love to shoot there, especially since it's right down the street from where I live. Why don't you invite me as a guest sometime Pete?:)

Wanna hear about the deal of the century?
I belong to a gun club at my work. We rent time from the Toronto revolver club. Membership: $40 a year.
The only catch is I can only shoot there on Friday evenings.:(
I think if clubs could lower their membership dues maybe it would draw more people into the sport. Just my 2 cents.

I am game............

Membership: $40 a year.

Hey that sounds promising!!!!

T

Wait?? What??
Only one evening a week?
One??

Ummmmm I'll pass...

Well there is that nagging problem of having to actually PAY for the upkeep of the facilities and all that....

That said when I was frst Pres of EESA we had 220 members or there abouts.

Now we are pushing 600 and have new facilities to boot. We have not raised membership fees in some years. That said we are looking at increasing the fee for those who cannot complete 8 hours of work a year in keeping the place running.

You hit the nail on the head there storm. I think a lot of members have no idea what it costs to maintain the facility and like you at EESA, those of us with indoor ranges, what it costs to keep the lights and heat on. Not including property tax, supplies, cleaning of the range, regular up keep oh and all the BS upgrades the CFO are continuously coming up with.

I can definitley see your point Stormbringer.
I guess things just cost what they cost, and thats why you don't meet too many people that just have a passing interest in shooting, everyone I've met is very passionate about it.
