Does anyone have an AMP induction annealing machine. What do you think of it?

If no one has one, would you be willing to mail your brass to someone to have them anneal it for you if they had one?

If so what do you feel this service would be worth like day per 100pcs of brass?

I have an Annie annealer (not the AMP) but love it - it's significantly cheaper than the AMP machine.

I occasionally anneal brass for my local friends but generally do it for free. It does extend brass life and provides more consistent accuracy. Given than expensive (Lapua) brass is $100-120 per 100 cases, then annealing should be some percentage of that - say 10-20% of the cost of new brass perhaps - which would put annealing costs at around $0.10 - $0.20 / case, or $10-20 per 100 cases. Shipping costs could be prohibitive.

So if you're looking at offering an "annealing service" to offset the cost of the AMP, maybe consider going with the cheaper Annie instead...

Hope this helps...

Yes, $10-$20 per 100 casses was what I had also thought. With the cost of shipping it would probably be best to wait until a guy had say 500 or more cases to ship at once.

I will have to check out this other machine you are referring to.

I have an AMP and I did 500 308's for prominant member of this board, he told me they all come back 100% perfect, they were Lapua cases. Doing 500 cases for some one is a major pain the A$$.....FS
