Was thinking if I used a 6oz co2 tank on it, it'd make for a decent lightweight rat killer. I still have the adapter to use 12gram co2s on a standard paintball gun, so if I used that I could have it even more lighter. Although not refillable.

Opinions?

If you used the adapter you are talking about that would be nice and light.
I have a QB78 that is bulked and with a 9oz tank it is quite heavy. Probly 7-8 lbs.

One of the guys that used to hang on the Crosman Forum on Network54, was doing refillable conversions to the 88 gram Crosman CO2 bottles.

Would make for a lighter carry anyways, if you could track one down, or build one (the tank, that is).

Cheers

with a 3.5 ounce paintball tank or any tank under 2.0 inches in diameter it can be a very fun rifle.

I owned one for a while then got another of a different version.

Those airguns can offer a nice platform in which to build around... As mentioned, the bottle should be 2" or less to avoid contacting the barrel and throwing any chance of accuracy out the window... I have seen custom breeches that act as a riser so that these guns may clear a slightly larger diameter bottle...
Catalina cylinders make a 13cu in and a 22cu in cylinder that is 2" in diameter exactly, model numbers 9010 and 9009 respectively ..
