I've been browsing for an entry level optic while waiting for my "entry level" DA50 to arrive. I was curious to see how inexpensive it would be to add a .50cal to the collection, even if I only shoot it a few times a year.

The common optic that keeps popping up is the Bushnell 3200 as it was originally sold stock on a .50cal rifle. It seems to be discontinued, but I stumbled across the Bushnell Elite Tactical LRS 10x40 on Amazon. Is this optic as durable as the 3200? Is it simply the same product under a different name? I'm also open to budget optic suggestions.

ya, not sure about a muzzleloader scope or open sights on a .50, that makes no sense to me.

On the low end, the Elite Tactical 10x40 is probably the cheapest, personally i'd save up more coin and get into a Sightron SIII (6-24 or 8-32).. but at least the Bushnell 10x will get you out shooting the new toy.

I was just being a ####. A 5moa 50bmg makes no sence to me.

Sorry to the OP.

Sightrons 10x fixed would be good. 150moa of vertical adjustment will be nice on a 50.

Right on, thanks for the advice guys. It was mentioned that the rifle may have the capability of 1.5-2MOA after testing loads in the same post.. but as I haven't got into reloading just yet, I'm sure I'll be content with what it gives me :)

Let us know how she works out. I'm really interested to see how they turn out.

Will do.

I ended up contacting Bushnell about their new 10x40s, this is the response I got:
The Elite Tactical scopes are another line of scopes altogether. None of them are newer versions of the 4200/3200 series scopes. They may handle the recoil of .50, but we only test and rate them up to .375. H&H. So if you put it on a .50, you do so at your own risk.
