inexpensive lead shot?

anyone know where to get inexpensive lead shot? i just bought myself a press and it seems like this is going to be the most expensive component, so any cost savings would be great. im looking for #8. i just saw a bag of 25 lbs online for 42$ is that a reasonable price? or to high? im new at this so apologies if i messed this up. $42 is a pretty reasonable price. I get mine from Hummason and their current price is $40. It goes up and down.

You must really enjoy reloading,You can buy number eight target loads cheaper than you can load them.

yep buy target loads cheaper then loading your own.

shot is not cheap i buy it now and then but mainly #4 and #12 for hunting and pest loads

Cheaper to buy yes, Better? Not by a long shot! If you are shooting long events the "cheap" shells will beat you black and blue! I can load 2 3/4 dram eq. loads that are a joy to shoot 5-600 of in a day I wouldn't even consider it with the 3 dram Jackhammers that are sold as target loads.
