At long last this gem has fallen into my clutches. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about it, wikipedia has for once been the most informative source I've found. Hopefully you guys can do better 
Any help in deciphering the unit markings on the butt-plate would be very much appreciated, there seems to be at least three different ways people are reading these...
The bore is mint and I'm hoping to keep it that way using a smokeless load. I read that trapdoor 45/70 load data is appropriate for this action, is that the case? I've got Lee dies, a 340gr Lyman mold and Bertram brass for it.
This rifle also seems to have had the bayonet lug ground off at some point, is this a known original modification?
I'm also not 100% sure what a rifle like this is worth, I've always seen them in much much worse condition locally. It's Spandau made with every single little number matching on this thing.
