looking for a moose rifle for the upcoming season. I am interested in what Trade Ex has to offer. So the question is Husky, Voere, Parker Hale, Zastava. Looking for any in 308,30-06 or 270. I need a rifle i can throw a scope on and hunt. Thanks kindly

Moose aren't very fussy about which brand of gun you use, and any of those calibres will do the job if you shoot them in the vitals from a reasonable range.

Pick one or three that you like the look and price of and telll Trade Ex you need it fit to just mount a scope, sight in, and go hunting moose. They won't steer you wrong.

Second the zastava. Basically a mauser 98 shoot great well made n trade ex has em cheap. Ben lookin at one in 9.3x62 myself but if I buy another gun my ol lady gunna put the barrel someware not pleasant n pull the trigger if ya no what I mean lol

I'd say get a husky in 30-06. For what you're doing you could get a model 96 [they're less expensive] in the husky. Look for one that doesn't have a crack at the tang, or one that is nicely repaired. Make sure it is drilled and tapped for a scope.
Load it with 180 gr bullets and you'll be set!

Also make sure it is a nice fit for you. Everyone will shoulder a rifle a bit different. You will shoot a rifle with more confidence if it feels right.

well the marlin 45-70 gets the first moose i see, just looking for a nice backup. I was stung when i was given a 710 and havent full recovered from plastic guns.
