info for hunting

Well after reading a post kicking around here I thought, I am on the lookout for a varmint rifle and to try something different what are my options with black rifles, are they all restricted? What am I looking at in price ect... If anyone has any info please chime in. Thanks.

Lots of info if you do some searches. The ar-15 is restricted, but you have other options for non restricted black rifles such as the SL 8, XCR, Tavor, Swiss arms ect. If you want a varmint rifle a black gun can be fun, but in my opinion expensive and not ideal. For a non-restricted, availible black rifle you're looking at $2000+ without optics. For that price you could have a 1/2 moa bolt gun with a great scope.

You forgot the CSA vz.58 in 5.56 more of a red than a black rifle but...

The gophers out here are about 1" across at the shoulders so you need to be shooting under 1" at whatever distance you try at......I'd get a bolt action or single shot with good optics and accurate handloads.
