When verifying someone's PAL for a non-res or ammo sale, what information do you need? Just the full name and lisc number, or do you need one or both of DOB/expiry as well?

If it's in person, take a look at their PAL, if it's them in the photo and the license isn't expired you're good to go. If it's online, ask for a photocopy of the PAL, if it isn't expired you've done everything you can, so carry on as per normal.

^ Exactly that. No need to call the CFC or get their driver's license to check against the PAL or try to verify an address.

PAL number with the .000x version.
Name of buyer
Pal expiration date.

It is always a good idea to verify a pal.
A few minutes can save you a lot of potential trouble.

As a side note. I also verify their address with the CFP
That way you know that the gun you are shipping is in fact going to the person you want it to.

Yes, the .000x is number of times renewed.

"Verify" the PAL by calling the CFC is at your discretion, as the law reads, if you have no reasonable reason to believe they do not have a valid PAL, you are good to go. So if you asked to see the PAL and it "looked" good, you have done all that is legally required.
