Info on 2014 Blackgun events in Quebec?

Nothing so far. I'm waiting for the news. Probably gonna hit the St. Jacques Le Mineur event again. Don't feel like going all the way to Valcartier or making 2 out of province trips lol

You got it! When the FQT announced the dates a few weeks ago, I contacted the organiser and was told that an email will go out when it's time to register.

I'll post the info here when the time comes.

LFT to speaking in person next time. You and I shot at the same time last year but different squads.

As for me, I plan on using my own reloads. Last year, I was stuck using different ammunition than what my rifle was sighted in with, wich resulted in hits 2" to the right.

I guess we both have to learn from our mistakes. Now I just have to practice my weak side shooting.

Same here, also play with barricades and switching positions.. My bum knee will hate me.. When I shot the match, I was having trouble with the LAR mags, bad batch of Norinco ammo and the T97 not liking the combination. Add to that the fact that I couldn't mount the scope I wanted to use and have it hold zero, I ended up running some el-cheapo rds that I didn't even have the time to sight in, just boresighted in the garage. It was way off. My inexperience was also pretty bad as I wasn't paying attention to where I was grouping as I was taking down the targets so I never adjusted my POA to compensate.

Will you be shooting with your T97 at the next match? If yes, I bet things are going to run a little smoother :)

Lol nope.. Sold it and got myself a CORE 15.. That thing has been less finicky about mags and ammo even though the batch of Norinco ammo that I thankfully just about burned through has been giving me some grief with it too. Will get something that shoots more reliably, sight in with it and be ready for the match. Probably just gonna run my TRS-25 unless I sell off some unnecessary goodies and get a Mepro.
