Info on Anschutz please?

I just recently acquired my first Anschutz kind of on implulse, looked like a nice little .22 and the price seemed pretty fair. I have no blinking idea what it is though, and was hoping some resident Anschutz expert could give me some insight into what it is, as I can't find a model number even on it. The only background I have is that it was traded back and forth between father, uncle, brother and son since the early 60s for various other items. Another friend mentioned that he thought the 'butterknife' bolt handle was unusual, but couldn't elaborate on that either.....Anyway, I'll post some pics and hopefully somebody can give me an idea of what I have. Don’t know what you ether, but Anschutz is at the top for quality small bore .22.
They also had/have a lesser line of affordable .22, that were available in W/Germany, after the war.

If you go to “RimfireCentral.com Forums” there is a section on Anschutz, you might get some help with ID, ing it that way.

Let us know what it is when you find out.

Yes I saw it.
And after looking at your latest photos,
J G Anschutz GmbH Waffenfsbrik Ulm/ D
Bad translation is:

J G Anschutz (of course the manufactures name)
Waffenfsbrik (gun or weapons factory)
Ulm (city of Ulm)
D (Deutschland*)
*This is most likely Germany before or during WW2, as after 1945 it became West Germany until 1993.

The only thing that I see as a comment is “Cal.22 Long rifle” is in English, not sure if that is from a pre war period not, but could very well be.

I suspect you have a rather unique rifle there. This is not a cheap German “Cooey” and probably 50 or 60 years of age.
I would cherish it.
 
Now I'm really curious~! I hope somebody sees this thread and can identify it for me, if it is a fairly unique rifle I'm going to be a very happy camper. Until I know more about it, it's certainly not leaving my safe.
 
Nice little older single shot anschutz with a set trigger. Often see them sell for $150-200 a little more with the set trigger. this is not one of the desireable 54 action target rifles, its still a very well made rifle regardless and likely has more sentimental value than market value. I have family in Germany and these are common and inexpensive. Not so common in Canada. They are a massed produced rifle.
 
Thanks for the info guys. I did email Anschutz about it, and they told me that for 50 Euros ($65) they could research the history on it. Needless to say, I'm happy to remain curious.......:)

I did find out by checking their available resources that it is a pre 1958 manufacture in Ulm (like it says on the barrel!), and other than that, just glad to have it.
 
I've never seen one like that before, I'd like to know more about it too.

I've shot a friend's Model 64 Silhouette rifle at 100m and it made ten shot groups you could cover with a quarter.

Anschutz makes nice rifles.
