Info on Berger Bullets?

Check Hodgdons website for loading data as they are the makers of Varget. As long as you vary too much in bullet type and weight the loads will work as posted.

Have quiet good results with Berger 168 gr Target and 43 gr of Varget, bullet kissing lands

I use the same load for 168 Berger Hybrids, 168 AMAX and 168 Hornady HPBT in my Savage 10 with an 18.5" barrel.
2710 fps with the AMAX can't remember the avg velocity with the other 2
46 grains of Varget
Lapua brass
BR4 primers
Seated 20 thou from the lands.
Of course you always want to do your own work up for safety and accuracy.
It's a hot load but I have upwards of 10 reloads on that brass.

Email Berger, they will send you the 308win - 168gn page pretty quick.
if I recall my most consistent velocity for the 168 Bergers was with around 48 grains of Vihtavouvi 550 with Winchester Magnum primers.
10 shot extreme spread was 8 FPS.
Speed was around 2700 FPS....
Pressure signs were mild.
I'm assuming the 550 powder being on the slow side must like the magnum primers.
