Hey Hey,

It's the Kernal calling from Wainwright, dose anybody know if they sell Glock 25's in Canada and if so where could a guy get one from.

Prohibited, unless longer barrel is installed. Never seen one here.

Why would you want a .380 that's exactly the same size as a 19 or 23?

One would think, most of the other 380s are useless. The only exceptions I can think of are the Berettas and Walthers

Why would it be prohibited in the US? It's the same size as a g19 but not as powerful.

the G25 does not have enough 'points' to be imported into the US as a 'sporting firearm'. the biggest thing it has against it is the .380ACP caliber... weird but true. it's also a blowback design.

There's no shortage of imported .380s available in the States.

The .380 isn't imported because it fails to satisfy enough of the ATF's points for importation guidelines.
It's cool if you're a Glock collector, but otherwise seems pretty useless. :p

If it is a blowback, then the barrel would most likely be fixed, making it inherently accurate.
not necessarily. the Glock Simunition pistols use a blowback design that does not incorporate a fixed barrel design. not having seen a Glock 25 in person, i can't say if it does have a fixed/non-fixed barrel, but if it is similar in design to the Simunition guns (which i have used and cleaned), it wouldn't be hard to make a blowback .380ACP Glock without a fixed barrel.

yup, but most of those .380ACPs have certain features added to make enough points to be importable to the US. things like adjustable sights, target grips, target triggers, safety devices, etc... the US enacted this particular law to keep the cheap 'Saturday Night Specials' (ironically, most were made in the US) out of the country. in fact, the subcompact Glocks needed to be imported initially with grooved 'target triggers' to be able to make enough points.

personally, the .380ACP Glocks are useless. i think Glock only came out with them in this caliber for those countries that do not allow ownership of firearms that use military calibers.
