Does anyone have experience with the .22 conversion kits for G17s (actually a 34)? I have a Glock I don't use too often and after seeing the Advantage Arms kit forsale on EE thought this might be a good idea for me. How well do they work and is AA one of the better brands?

I have one for my g17 and i love it.It is however limited to certain types and brand of ammo.AA states this of there product.Works great with Remington golden bullets and well with cci mini mags.Using theese two brands works very well in mine.
You should also look at getting a Mech Tech carbine conversion.

I have an AA 22 conversion for my G20 that work very well and gives very good accuracy.

I now have a G23 and a G29 and was thinking about buying the conversions for them as well.

I got a "Ciener" Glock 17/22 .22LR Conversion Kit. It wont work on my Glock 34 so I'm gonna try it out on a Glock 17 or 22. I like it because the kit came with 2 full size Glock 22LR mags.

The Advantage Arms kit works very well for me. Only using Remington 40gr high velocity "golden bullets" on it. I tried some of the non-recommend 22 ammo in it and what do you know...it didn't function reliably. But no issues with the remington stuff.

I've got a AA kit for my 17. It took a bit of breaking in, but it runs flawlessly now. I feed it a steady diet of CCI Mini-mags. It is a bit lighter than the normal slide so the balance takes a bit of getting used to.
