Info on M1 carbine

All I can say its made by Universal Firearms and its a Post war, civilian copy. Well without seeing it, not sure if its restricted or non. Or w/o a accurate measurement of the barrel. To me if non restricted be nothing more then a truck gun, or shooter, nothing collectable about them.

Restricted due to it being a cf, semi-auto with a barrel under 18.5", just like every other carbine if the barrel is original. That'd be 18". Has been restricted since 1 Jan.,1978.
Universal's are junk, if it's not an early model. Late models have a toggle for the bolt release, two return springs and a poorly made, stamped, op handle(that tend to break and replacements are extremely difficult to find.). They are not in any way the same as an issue Carbine. No parts other than mags and sights interchange.

M2 potbelly stock? Interested in seeing a picture. I didn't know the M2's had different stocks?
Yeah theyre fatter, a cut out for the selector that pokes out on the LH side.

M1 Top, Pot Belly Bottom. As you can see its fatter and covers the trigger mech more. Not as slim as the M1.
They are a thing of beauty. What really surprised me was the accuracy of the new manufactured Criterion barrel.
I could do no worse than 2" five-shot groups at 100yds off a rest, with whatever 110r bullet I tried and a load of 4227.
I'll miss it but it was too pretty to fill the role I had in mind for it.
IMHO the JRA is well worth the 1400$ price tag considering some of the wrecks that go for a grand on the EE.
