Just wondering if anyone has any information on the new Ruger SR9. I was just curious to know when they'll be available in Canada. I usually deal with Gobles in Tillsonburg, Ontario but they are in the process of changing hands. Has anyone had the chance to buy one yet or shoot one? And roughly how much do they run in Canada? I know the MSRP in the US is around $525 but I haven't found any Canadian price list yet.

Thanks,

VP

I have a P345 and love it but I have recently read a few things that concern me about the SR9 on the Ruger Forum.....

Not always a good idea to buy a gun when it first comes out I guess.

Take Care.

I don't know about that one.....got too much "safety" crap. Manual safety on a DAO pistol makes no sense, mag disconnect safety is a useless feature, loaded chamber indicator is also pretty useless. Probably has plastic frame rails like thier other poly pistols......
It is one of their best looking pistols......actually their only good looking pistol :)

The problem of Ruger is that they like to make something that people don't really like. I like the look of the whole gun, very detail designed, I have no problem with all kind of safety features but the chamber indicator was awefully put together. The price really put people to buy something else. If this gun sell anywhere close to six hundred, then people will take a M&P or G17 instead.
