Info on Spanish Mausers

Hey guys, my father in law is looking at a Spanish Mauser '44 still in 8x57. The price seems reasonable to me, but I have no idea what kind of quality these guns are known for. He's looking for something to use hunting, so accuracy will be important.

Anything to watch out for, or stay away from it entirely? Or buy it and laugh hysterically at the deal he got?

If it was the one on Valley Guns he's too late.......
They seem to be made up from Polish and German mauser parts from what I can find out.

Actually, yes it was the one on Valley Guns. I've passed along the info to the father in law. I'm sure he'll say "Oh, dammit!!" Let us know how it shoots, would ya Hitzy?
