Info regarding KRISS FRT#

Can anyone tell me where to find a hard fact of how many of the Kriss firearms have been imported to date?

Feel free to PM me if you don't want to publicly come forward or share public information with those that may use it nefariously.

Just FYI this information will be used in my letters to my MP, the PM, and the rest of the list. Furthermore I would like to post the letter publicly on this forum for others to use if they don't know the full issue that has developed.

When you have a police force that basically does nothing but twiddle their thumbs, they will find things like this to do. Anything international, they are basically fed info from the FBI, and domestic, they really are an outdated body. They are a bureaucratic organization that has to put on a show as if they are doing something, so people can say, oh ya, the RCMP are still around. It's like our Customs and Border patrol stop people from bringing in groceries and clothes from the US while the US border patrol is looking for drugs and more important things.

Hi Guys,

We just wanted to clear the air in light of the current situation in the Canadian firearms community regarding the pulling of FRT numbers.

The big question is "Has the FRT # for the KRISS Vector been pulled?"

The short answer is yes. The FRT number has been pulled, but the firearm is not considered prohibited.

We are currently working with the RCMP to get this issue resolved, and I have no doubt that everything with this particular firearm will be back to normal shortly.

There are a lot of rumors circulating at the moment, and I don't want any misinformation regarding the KRISS firearm floating around.

We have suspended the sale of this firearm until the issue is resolved.

Thanks,

The NFA has also offered any help or assistance that may be needed from our friends at North Silva and Kriss Vector to get this issue resolved .

This post will actually achieve the exact opposite of what you hoped.

You need to tell us WHY the FRT was pulled (What's the issue? what are they looking into?) - or there will be limitless speculation, tin-foil hat trauma and rumor circulation to no end.

On one hand, you have TSE and CSC argueing publically and telling everyone all the details of whats going on with the Swiss Arms, and its a #### show of speculation.
On the other hand, you have North Sylva who is doing the exact opposite, and thats still a #### show of speculation.

Face it, no matter how much detail we know about these situations, the second we hear "FRT# pulled for review", its a #### show.

Don't think that's going to effect the non-restricted version. Do you?

Who said the NR FRT wasnt pulled? - IF this is indeed an RCMP inquiry into the possibility of rendering the KRISS Full-auto then it would
only make sense this would apply to the Non-res version as well, identically the same design except for barrel length ( I know you know ). :}

There's my daily speculation that could be completely out to lunch, as North Silva has still not addressed the issue of WHY.

While I agree a SShow in inevitable, I feel that the SA thread(s) have considerably more detail, we know WHY and HOW it started, we have timelines and Letters, correspondence, etc.

I had my transfer under review just after they pulled the FRT#. It was sent to the registrar in Ottawa and when I called in to ask what the problem was I was told that they had to verify the magazine capacity as apparently it came with a high-cap Glock 21 magazine even though when I inspected it at the store it was a 10 round magazine. I am not claiming this as why the FRT was pulled but this is just what I was told but in the end I had no problem getting my transfer approved.

I am getting very tired of the political climate here in Canada. I really think we just should split this country into two; stupid, and non liberal/socialist.

it isnt politics

its power

The RCMP were given some subjective powers so they apply them subjectively

I really wish the government would get rid of the Firearms Act or otherwise very well define who has what powers and what is what.....

cfos have what powers, safe storage means what?, etc etc

till then (some) police are getting accustomed to letting their subjective rule be law

I believe that both the restricted and non-restricted models are listed under the same FRT.

I just gave CFC a call and they have not heard of the pull on the Kriss. Either way, I'm sure this will blow by like every other gun under 'review' and be back to normal. I'll be blasting the crap out of it at the range until notified.

Cheers

Put some rounds down range for me buddy, take a video and post it of that bad boy.

Heres a video to raise everyone spirits... this was in the US and when you handle and fire one like this, you realize just how different they really are:
