Info Request about Dlask Arms AR Clones

if its legal to export and import from canada to you any brand i suspect except colt maybe

you could arrange a canadian to purchase said rifle get all the paperwork and export it to you

I suspect most dealers wont really be interested as it would be a big hassel for not $ gain

you might try questar (top of page are a sponsor here)

he may do exports and if not he may be able to tell you who can

if you can get a dlask allready in your country(which is what i think your saying) ive heard good things about them through i think they had tight magwells on some of them i could be wrong through I personally have never owned one if you cant get any other brands and you really want an ar15 your kinda stuck

It's not a problem about our local gun laws, it's the US companies that don't export AR 15 clones to europe anymore, except for governement sales.

I could try to do it trough a gunshop in northern america, problem is that, as it was already mentioned, for them it represents a truckload of paperwork without earning much........so I havent found anybody in the Sates yet who wants to go trough the hassle getting an export license.

Thanks KevinB,

I know them, but I'm not too convinced about their stuff.....and they are really expensive. In the gunshop where I could get the Dlask they also had several Oberland Arms AR-15. The Dlask Ar15 they had seemed to be of a much better quality regarding tooling, fittings and machining etc. and as I said way cheaper.

dlask has a hit and miss sort of reputation.. and has had some other issues latley that may or may not be their fault... do a search on the board and make up your own mind... There has been lots of comments both for and against Joe's stuff on the board....

If you are asking my personal opinion although I've never handled or shot any of his products.. Just the way emails were responded to and the fiery defenses of his products here on the board I don't get the warm fuzzy... Although I love Canadian Made

try finding out is Sabre Defence will ship to Germany.
so it's illegal for us to sell this guy one of our Stags, LMT's or whatnot? if not, I'd suggest contacting Reliable Gun and Tackle in Vancouver. they regularly ship stuff overseas (Japan) for qualified buyers.

i believe it is legal to export anything that is already in our country. just not to get it from the states for the sole purpose of exporting it.

but unfortunately that means one more semi-auto has left the building.

I don't think the guy is interested in trying to export a gun from Canada. It seems that his local gunshop already has a DLASK in stock and he wants to know about user experiences with that rifle.

I personally have no experience with any Dlask products, so I can't comment on quality/reliability. One thing that I can say is that their ARs seem to be much less prevalent than Bushmasters, Colts, Armalites and other popular American brands, despite the fact that Dlask guns are manufactured here. Kind of makes you wonder.

By the way, how strict are the gun laws in Luxembourg?

I'd buy the Dlask, especially since its readily available to you and at an attractive price. Generally the rifles are well made and for the most part are made with rather tight tolerances. As was said, their magwells are not loose, so if you have a slightly oversize/cheap AR magazine, it might not seat properly. Good quality magazines generally work fine. I would have no problem buying or shooting a Dlask, especially if my options were limited as yours are.

I built an M4gery on a stripped Dlask lower. No problems with it. Fit and finish is on par with any US made piece. On a complete AR, Dlask would only have made the upper and lower receivers, everything else would be the same run of the mill parts/furniture used in most of the name brand AR15's.

American guns leaving the US either list the end user, where/when required, or general resale in a named country, so for instance, a Stag Arms rifle exported for commercial resale in Canada cannot be then forwarded for sale in Europe.

Are those the same people that trash Norinco products?

If you mean Dlask by "those...people", I doubt it, particuarly as some of their components come from that neck of the woods. ;)
DAC sticks to just trashing its customers.
