Info requested Enfield No1 M3*

Recently got this one and I am brand new to Enfields, bore looked almost new looking so decided to plunge in and see what I can come up with.

After a little research, I'm still confused as to its history, seems that there is lots on wartime and pre wartime, but I think this is a 1958 ( large guess) and maybe from India.
I'm sure there are others on here that can help me fill in the blanks and point me in a good direction on where to start looking for restoration parts.

its got Israeli markings on it I think.

It is an Indian rebuild. Couple of stamps do look like Hebrew.
I suppose that if you want to restore it, getting a forend with the Ishapore reinforcing screw would be appropriate.

There are Israeli markings on it.
Both the Magen Daved and the backwards Y.
If only that old girl could talk...............

I'm betting originally British, then scrubbed and re-built in India.

Interesting, got a few PM's just asking to buy it.
I think I am going to hang onto it and just enjoy it.
If I find another that has been shot out, but the wood is good and not sporterized, maybe make one of 2.
